Reliability of movement.

I am about to buy a very hi end AP with a 3126 movement. The main element is a S7750. What makes it an A3126 is the cover. I have never read anything really good about the S7750 unless you mess with it, change parts, etc. this is beyond
my skill and i would be a little unhappy about this.

You can't put in an ETA 7750 as it requires some expensive Mods. Is the This worth $1k or find another watch.

Work strange hours. Basic advice I am getting is buy nothing Asian even if serviced. You take your chances.

I dont think thats nessecarily true... the A2824 and A2836 can be very reliable and work for years... only worth servicing them if they break down!

The A7750 isnt actually a bad movement... but the difficulty in the AP replicas is that the seconds hand is moved from its natural position at 9 to 12 o clock. This requires a gear train to move it which puts strain on the movement and can cause it tio break... so ecen putting an ETA7750 in wont help much!

Whats the watch that you are asking 'is it worth it' for?

If You want it to be reliable out of the box go for the non-chrono AP Diver.
Otherwise first look for who is going to reliably service Your APROO as few ppl will want to work on it, figure in the additional cost and get 2 (one for using while the other is away some months). APROOs are luxury, rep or gen:)

It's a Royal Oak Diver. Rose Gold. $788. This an A7750 and a Platinum cover. I have no experience with Chinese Watch Movements. But 4 years experience of building telecommunications equipment. From basic stuff to medium complexity. Not exactly the kind of experience you want on your Resume. 3000 of rice planting and watch making have a long way to go even though the people are fantastic.

I want the AP44fc myself but hesitant and thinking the FC diver safer. I don't have access to a watch smith locally.
THats the best move right?

Why is this in Tony's review section except maybe that he goes under A7750? LOL
