Here is my understanding of the differences between these two movements:

// ZF

This is a basic A7750 with a decorated plate attached and custom designed rotor to match genuine P.9000. It has standard hours, minutes, sub-seconds and date display.

Obvioisly, easy to spot as a rep to the trained eye.

// V6F

A modified A7750 with 1) the balance wheel position moved to match the genuine P.9000 movement and 2) independent adjustable hour hand which allows you to turn it clockwise or anti-clockwise to adjust hours and date easily, same adjusting as genuine movement.

Obviously, much closer to gen movement in appearance and functionality.

// Here’s my question:

Is it reasonable to assume that th non-standard customizations of the V6F would increase the likelihood of failure as well as make it more difficult to get parts and have a watchmaker do service?

I’m looking to get a PAM 312, and, personally, am more interested in reliability of the movement than functionality or appearance. Based on this criteria, would it make more sense to get the ZF?

(I also understand from ALE’s awesome posts that the V6F has better fit and finish)

Thanks!

First, I think you're referring to VSF, not V6F. I have a PAM312 v2 from VSF for almost a year, it still keeping accurate time~

Nope, that would be impossible.

PeterRei, thanks.

Just heard back from my TD and only the PAM312 R VSF is still in stock. So, I guess if I get this I'll not be able to swap parts with a 7750. Guess when it dies, I just hope I can find a watchmaker on this site that will have parts and can fix.
