Rehaut engraving alignment question

Just curious about the ROLEXROLEXROLEX engraving on the rehaut.

On some replicas, the center of each letter is right on top of (in-line with) each minute index. On others, the letters are between the indexes.

And on others still, the centers of the letters near the crown engraving begin on top of the minute indexes but gradually go between indexes towards the "3" and "9" positions.

Which is correct? I mean closest to the genuine?

I like the pre-engraving models best, but as I understand the left side engraving the R lines up with the hour mark, + the right side the X lines up on the hour mark. Check some Rolex advertisements, + forums, or wait for someone that is surer that I am, but that's how I see it. Hope that helped.

Thanks for the replies.

Here's an example:

If you draw a line from each minute index going UP to the rehaut, the line will cross the center of each letter.

I was told this is the case throughout the entire rehaut on genuine Rolexes. Is this true?

And should we be looking for this in replicas?

Here's a better rehaut picture:

As you can see on this genuine GMT-II, each minute index neatly lines up with the exact middle of each letter.

Are there any replicas where the rehaut engraving lines up as neatly? :)

The latest noob Sub-C, (not the new version that got the prototype just launched) has the perfect rehaut engraving. It´s virtually indistinguishable from the GEN on this aspect.

Check this... It´s a noobfactory 114060 from the latest series (picture borrowed from another member here @ RWI):

It´s the best rehaut engraving ever made. In font shape, size, ligning and space between the characters.

Cheers,
Spirit.

Hi Spirit,

The pic you posted looks very nice! Closest to genuine as I've ever seen!

Which TD has stock? :)

I have got mine from MarvellousReplica just a couple months ago.
Mail him and surely you will find this version in stock.

This is mine:

Here's a picture from the GMT II that I bought from Marvellous:

I'm pretty happy with it.
