Message boards. Forums. Enthusiast communities. Not something you find all too often in the age of Social Media and corporate tech monopolies.
I remember the so called "good old days" where word of mouth was the way of navigating the internet. There were no facebook groups, no established reddit boards, no instagrams or other modern tools to find your community. Certainly no google. Long nights spent on IRC in dodgy channels, asking for information on message boards without moderation, trying to find unique websites to fuel your interests and curiosities.
Well, I sometimes miss those days, and scouring through RWI during dark, cold, windy nights brings me back to that. Even with the "who's the best TD", or "which rep is the most like gen" posts. I'm happy to just look past all that.
