Hi all,

I’ve had a Noob v3 that was modded and serviced by Dochere2 about 6 years ago that has been running great until recently.

Recently, if I’m wearing it, the balance will occasionally stop moving. If I bump the watch, it will start moving again and is keeping good time.

if i wind up the watch and not wear it, then it seems to tick fine and keeps good time.

suspecting that it is due for a service. Does anyone have any idea what the issue is?

So I’m looking for a reputable UK based watchmaker that has experience with the 6497 movement. please let me know if y’all recommend any!

thanks

Seems like it’s unanimous!
thanks for the tip.

ado has worked on my TC v7X several years ago and did a fantastic job. Didn’t realised he was well versed in panerai too ;)

the 6497 is one of the easiest movements to work on :)

You can buy a brand new A6497 with swan neck regulator (without the panerai engraving) on ebay for about £25-35 and just swap the balance assembly over, super easy 20 minute job, if the problem is something else you have a new movement, either use for parts or put the panerai engraved bridges on the new movement

Look at this on eBay
