Recommendation for a first buy super rep Luminor?

Hi all,

Long time lurker here...

Just graduated from Uni and I wanna get myself a gift (moving into the big boy's territory).

In terms of super rep Luminors, I've seen people suggesting PAM 000, 111 and the 390 for an almost identical rep. Based on your experience, are there any others that you'd add to the list of super reps?

There are several, you gonna need to read the panerai section, there is a long long thread about status rep ranking for many reps made by user ALE7575, make a list with super reps and then pick up your favorite.

Pam 111 is a great one to start with

Everyone seems to recommend a 111 but there are plenty of other options. Just search for the NWBIG thread and go through the list and see what you like.

And see what's available. A lot of those have gone the way of the dodo.

I am in a similar situation of selecting my first pam rep.

​​​​​​Having scrolled down the list of consensus nwbig, I would say that 90% of those pams listed there are already out of production (at least I can't find them on puretime website anymore).

Dont be discouraged by that though. Just spend a bit of time researching and you will soon find one that you like and is close to gen and yet not as "notoriously repped" as the ones that were on that list.

Don't base it on whether something is present (or absent) on a TD's website. Ask them directly. Then you'll know definitively.
