Finally got a Radiomir to add to my collection of Luminors. Watch shipped and arrived promptly, very pleased with Timeshop and will order from them again. Watch is just as nice as promised, with really good lume, decent AR sapphire crystal, and no build flaws that I can see. I opted for the genuine croc strap, quite nice and well worth the money but a bit on the short side... barely fits my 7-1/4" wrist!

Hope the A 7750 movement holds up well. This watch is nice enough that I'll opt for a service sooner rather than later before problems develop. I haven't tested the chronograph yet, a little afraid too ;)

Update: Chrono works and recents nicely! Only running six hours but seemingly keeping good time too

Any pic`s. I got a Pam 251 from Timeshop and the lume was dull.

Hi Andy, the 251 does not come with c1+c3 superlume, it is expected that the lume is poor.

I did not know that, apart from the lume, the watch is perfect.

Apologize for the iPhone quality, but here is a photo as requested.

AR is better than the photo shows but suspect it is single sided, good in that it won't get scratched off. I would say it is colorless. Not sure what the gen has...
The lume is very bright but does fade fairly quick, though remains visible in the dark for a fairly long time.

Watch has been unning for about 18 hours now, it is only a few seconds fast. The chrono runs smoothly and resets to zero; I always reset when the second hand is fairly close to zero anyway though. Not a feature I intend to really use but good to know the movement functions as it should.

Not that I every would, but I wouldn't be embarrassed wearing this 288 into an AD. Here is a shot next to my 187. The latter is a gen with superluminova hands; tritium had chipped off and the hands were replaced; still has the T dial per my request.

Wow, you didn't pull any punches when you went to buy a gen, did ya? That 187 is a MONSTER.

I have a 288 and love it to bits. It is *very* gen-like in appearance and feel.

Lol I didn't, I knew I'd only buy one Panerai gen and went for the biggest and baddest one!

The 288 doesn't have the Swiss movement my other PAM reps have, but it definitely does have the gen look and feel... I think it's easier to pull that off with the Radiomir than Luminor because the crown guards are often imperfect.

In fact, the 288 is so good that I'm seriously considering changing up my PAM collection: swapping the Swiss ETA 7750 in my 212 for the A 7750 in the 288, then selling the 212 along with my Swiss Unitas 111H. That would fund upgrades (better AR, superluminova, pin, and an awesome strap) for my 217 with Swiss Unitas 6497. I think the 187, 217, and 217trio would give me enough Panerai representation. I don't see the 212 or 111H getting much wrist time looking forward.

And if a 187 rep as good as the 288 shows up, I'd sell the gen in a heartbeat.
