Congrats on your purchase, looks great! And good choice of strapmakers. Please post some pics with new straps too. ;)
To wind it just pull the lever out and turn the crown clockwise for around 60-70 times for a full wind, it should last for 2 days before you should wind it again. To set the time just pull the crown out until it clicks, set the time, close the crown, close the lever and enjoy!

And wind it until it will go no further. It will last two days like that, but I tend to wind my 6497 movements in the morning and before I go to bed, just out of habit.

Ok i will turn it 60-70 full circles? How do i wind it until it will go no further? It will hit a stopper?

My SNPR strap should be ready this week to ship. Bakeka strap ill have it shipped this weekend. I will take pictures with the new straps when they arrive. What screwdriver tool do i need to use to take off the strap? Also does the same screwdriver work for the other screws on the watch? I want to have the right tools to take care of the watch.

Baggypants, Why do you wind in the morning and at night? So basicly i can wind it 60-70 times, then wind it again whenever I like within 1-2 days to keep it going? I thought the PAM111 is automatic and if you wear it everyday it will keep moving and dont need to be winded again? Like my Seiko diver, its automatic, and while wearing it keeps moving. Want to really understand how it works.

thanks

Cool my pam is alive now. I just set the time and winded it maybe almost 60 times and then it became harder to wind, i guess thats when you are suppose to stop? So after 2 days just wind it the same 50-60 times again. What is better to do, winding it 30 times everyday? or winding it 60 times every 2 days?

Yes, it will stop winding once fully wound. The 111 has a 6497 manual wind movement, not an automatic. I don't have to wind it morning and night, but it became a routine to wind it before putting it on in the morning and again when I take it off. It means I don't forget to wind it :)

You need a 1.6mm screwdriver for the strap screws, and a slightly larger one for the crown guard screws, although the 1.6mm was sufficient on my crown guards.

It makes no difference if you wind it fully each day or after two days. It's just my habit :)

Hi Bronica

Is that the best one to buy? Is there a cheaper one? Do i need fall those screwdrivers for my pam111? If its the best one i will buy it. I think ALE made a posting for those tools from the same website and he recommended 2 different options. I will try to find that posting again

Also pretty cool the PAM111 movement ticks kinda loud, well louder than my seiko haha

baggypants, you wind it every morning and night. When you wind it do you always wind it all the way til it stops winding? Or do you just wind a little bit each time

I think winding less frequent might be better every 2 days. I dont want to play with the lever too much, dont want it getting loose. Does the lever loosen over time and can it be tightened again?

thanks

I wind it until it stops. There is no more wear winding it every day than there is winding it every two days. It only takes 30 winds a day instead of 60 every two days. The amount of winding is actually the same, but spread over 48 hours. It just means that mine never wind down more than half way.

No problem with my levers loosening at all.

Baggypants,

Ok cool i guess you are right, Winding it 30 times everyday vs 60 winds every 2 days is the same amount of winding haha. Also you say the lever never gets loose? so i guess theres no problems and can wind it whenever. I just want do the best for the watch and maintain it.

We only need a 1.6mm screw mostly and a slightly bigger one? Then do i need all the 9 screwdrivers in this set? Maybe i can just get the required 1-2 screwdrivers for the PAM to save some money? I dont plan to buy other brand replicas. I only like the PAM111 and probably will stick with this for a long time and get a few straps to change the look.

To be honest, I only have the 1.6mm screwdriver and have managed fine with it. Once the screws on the crown guard are tightened up, you will only need the 1.6mm to change straps. Pointless having a set of screwdrivers and only using one ;)

So i need a 1.6mm and what size for the crown? Yeah makes sense to buy only 2 screwdrivers and save some money if that is all i really need. Dont need to buy so many screwdrivers if i don't use them.

baggypants, once the crown is tightened, it can loosen again later? You just use 1.6 for the crown? And you keep checking the crown to make sure the screws not loose?

I read in the PAM111 QC thread that ALE says we need these sizes for the PAM

LUG SCREWS: 1,6mm
CG SCREWS: 2,5mm

So i gues ill try to look for these 2 sizes locally. If i cant find it i could order from that site.

Also does anyone think the ticking sound of the PAM111 is loud?

just wind when u about to wear it, probably around 24-30x for a 1 day power reserve.
even though its a rep, in case for safety dont wind until it wind no more.

I guess you must not forget to wind it? Because if you forget to wind it, the watch stops, then you need to set the time all over again?

thanks
