Does anybody know if there is an easy way to fix this or is this a job for a professional?

Watch is worn everyday in the workplace hence the wear.

You were supposed to turn the bezel mate, not the dial ;)

More seriously I'm no expert but you probably don't want to do this yourself if you have no experience opening a watch. But I don't think it should be any issue for a watchsmith or modder.

All the best to get this fixed

Honestly, no idea. Its my dad watch which I got him for fathers day a few years ago.

I have no experience opening watches and I was kind of hoping it was a relatively easy fix.

Where I need to be.
Yes relatively easy fix from how it looks. Is the dial turning freely and is movement still running fine?

If the movement feels secure and immovable when you operate the crown, and hands are moving normally, then the issue will be isolated to the adherence of the dial to the movement. Like someone mentioned, the dial feet could be broken though without opening the watch up, it will be only a guess at best.

Thanks Ladies and Gents for your help. I might take it to a watchmaker and see what they say. Pending that cost, i will decide if a DIY repair is on the cards.
