Hi Pam experts!

I would like to try to disassemble a Pam...and hopefully put it back together again...and have it ticking!

Is there a tutorial(with pictures)that can show me what to do? I have been able to research a lot. However, what I cannot seem to find is how to put the hands back on and have them aligned.

I would also need to buy some tools. I have the basic kit and a decent set of screwdrivers. I don't have a caseback remover or ball. I also need to get some of the little organizers and brushes and the little pump to blow dust away.

At this point, the only "mods" I've ever done are....strap changing! I also have tightened GC screws! So this is a big step and I am quite nervous. However, I am so envious of all the members who can build their own watches and have "frankens".

Any advice and help will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hope this helps

I was in your position a couple of years ago, and have since taken a half dozen watches apart, and actually put them back together again, ticking! A fantastic sense of accomplishment--done with the able assistance of wonderful experts here on the forum. Take photos of the movement before you take off every part. Photos are invaluable to help you put the bits back together correctly. You also need a loupe or some sort of major magnification. Then there a GOOD set of tweezers (I suggest you spend at least $25 for tweezers). You don't mention which movement your watch has. Don't start by tearing down a 7750. Complicated! I started with 6497. Much more straight forward. As long as you are a patient type you'll be fine. Have fun! :canuck:
