Re-luming a Navitimer Serie Speciale?

The rep I wear most often is my Navitimer Serie Speciale with eta 7750 movement. I think it's a very good rep, it keeps great time and lives very comfortably on my wrist. My only disappointment is the lume which is very weak. Is there any way to relume this watch to make it possible to read the time at night? Does re-luming a watch run the risk of damaging the dial or the hands?

Is there a watchsmith in the UK that is recommended for doing this kind of work on a rep?

There's certainly risk reluming by hand. There's no room for mistake too. Finepics used to be take in reluming order however he is out on vacation now. Another person worth contacting is vaccum. He did many great jobs on PAM. Should have no problems reluming your Navi SS.

I actually contacted vaccum to relume my navi but he didn't want to risk messing up the dial because the markers are so small. I appreciated his honesty and didn't want to take the chance. Vaccum's great so if he doesn't want to risk it then it's probably not worth it. You can always buy a gen dial which should have good lume on it though. Probably about the same price (not sure about serie speciale but it was for regular navi) so might be something to look into.
