Hi,

I'm thinking of getting this watch after reading the reviews...
1) No obvious flaw on face,
2) Same movement as original
3) replacement strap from HKtan to resolve the poor quality strap.

Appreciate if the experts can comment on:

1) Beside a better quality and working reset pin for the date of the swiss viloux 7753 (Is it a geniune 7753 or asia made?), any visible differences of this watch appearance compare to the A7750 version?

2)Which dealer would you recommend? King, Andrew, Joshua?

3) what other issues should i consider

Thanks.

There is an instant tell.

The dial is wrong.

See the number 4 or (IIII) gen:

The rep is wrong.

The VII is also slightly wrong

Look at the first and last stroke of the IIII marker nearest the date window and nearest the minute counter.

The strokes are too long on the rep.

Oh comon! With all due respect. The last stroke of the marker blown up 100 times? I'd be more worried about the extra expense of the 7753 which is totally unnecessary.

Hi fakemaster, thanks for your advise. Yes, the price is high for a rep using 7753 but correct me if i'm wrong, isnt it the correct movement used for the geniune with the working recess pin? IMO, its cheaper than HBB using asian 7750.

Just not very sure about the dial and case quality..

The case quility will be fine. I did some research on this movement and discovered that the only difference is that the 7753 is a modular unit designed specifically for Chronos. The 7750 functions just as well. The Hublot pricing skews it. The price of those is based more on the demand for the model itself rather than the movement. Even the ones with 21Js in them are way overpriced.

So the A7750 has the same function of Swiss 7753 to reset the date at the 10 oclock position?

Not on the one I had. It's there for cosmetic functions only. Date is set with crown.

Yours (Mine actually  Thanks to you!) also has the correct dial (from what I could see in the pics). I'm still wondering if the pusher @ 10 will become functional when I replace the Asian 7750 with the Swiss 7753. Anyone have any idea if that would be possible?

**For the record, transaction with Czarczar went extremely smooth and watch arrived faster than anything (1 day actually :) ). 8)

I have the Swiss 7753 powered 100 Chrono. It is without a doubt the most accurate rep I have ever owned, and the expense of the Swiss movement gets you 3 very important things.

1) Date setable by the correct means (pusher at 10)

2) Non- recessed date wheel, very, VERY close to gen font.

3) A reliable movement, which once properly oiled should last longer than you will.

As for the IIII marker- if anyone calls you on that, I would be shocked. It's not like Cartier has fanatical observers like Panerai (I for one, don't buy into the whole wrong cross line on the 'A' nonsense.)

Add an OEM strap, and you are looking at a watch nobody will ever call.

I have a 7750 - it's from a site that is listed as a scam site. It is a great looking watch but, the guts are lacking.

From whom did you buy yours w/ 7753? Although I'm very happy with my Santos chrono, I'm about to buy another and I don't want to repeat my mistake. Thanks

The screws around the bezel are also another tell that it's a rep.

I removed and polished the screws, and they are pretty darn close. WIthout a loupe, you are in pretty good shape.
