This picture was discussed

in the P site sometime ago...

Its 47mm and word is that its not a production model. Exactly like a 127. Look similar to the "PVD/Ceramic" 47mm Angelo Bonati was wearing at the recent SIHH...

Beautiful i would say but not sure if they ever will have it as a SE or regular production.. :)

Getting old??? I'd say been old; but good for him for still being able to pull it off.

If you see the full frame of that shot... he's reaching for his walker (just cropped out) and getting ready to get violent upon some tapioca pudding that they served for dinner at "the home"... as stated though... nice looking watch and I pray I'm in that good of shape when I get to that age. :p

The watch is one of the rarest Panerai. Do you have more photo of this 218A? Please post more. This is very rarely seen model and also hard to find the photos of it too. Thanks.

Thanks a lot Sweet for your help. I try to find photos of 218A but so far even the photos are very hard to find. Would like to see more detail of it. I think DVN dial is very far off the gen one. May be it does not make a good sell. Unlike 201A, 202A, or even 210A that sell more. DVN remakes it in several batch.

The gen photo you post is the best so far I ever seen for 218A and it looks really good. Thanks.

ssalxpanerai is right, the best gen shot of the dial I have seen. Thanks for the photo.

Just noticed his strap has lug burn, were not the only ones.

When I search for this model, the data is very interesting. But when I see DVN dial, it is just too far from the gen. I don't mean DVN has to make it like gen but it should look more solid. DVN dial is too skinny in indexes and lettering. Hope he will make it like 201A with sandwich dial and good bold lettering. Then lots of people will mod it easily by fill up the indexes or even leave it as it is. Like 201A, it takes DVN 4-5 version to get it bold on lettering.

Another one, 205A, the standard case is already available with the back. If the dial is made, then it is very interesting good rep model.

Wish I know some source that can make the dial. Even one good dial specially made with the special cost, I think it is still worth to have this Pre-V model.
