Installation vs3135 movement on Submariner 16610 RAF but unfortunately the calendar is not centred.
I believe the case is slightly larger than the gen

Maybe try to bend the dial feet a bit. It helped with my 16610 frankens (using vs3135, gen DW and ARF / gen dial).

This is a good suggestion. I did it on a RAF dial with a VR movement, so it could work for you. Interesting that the dates are the same, good for the comparison:

Yeh, so far we found the VR3135 with VR or Gen datewheel provides a well-centred date.
A couple of people with the VS3135 installed instead have physically rotated their dial a small fraction (to bend the two dial feet), in an attempt to centre the date a little better.

A lot of standalone vs3135 movement's calendar plate AND its date disc seem to have poor date alignment (e.g., bottom-left justified).

This is why i would sometimes prefer to use vr3135 (with rafflesdial 3135 date disc if needed because the brass sides of the stock vr3135 date disc might show up in the date window).

There is little to no date disc alignment issues with the vr3135.

I had a wonderfully centred date in my RAF but the fond was a bit thin yet very nice to look at. For my piece of mind I still went with a new and serviced VS3135 with a gen date (and a new ARF crown). Now it’s just wonderful:)
