I have a beautiful serviced Pam 288 and purchased a gen gator for it
The small screw in the deployant is striped and I can't attach it to the strap

If anyone has a suggestion I would appreciate it

No way I can photograph a screw that small

I'd say you need loctite

I'd glue it in place.
epoxy.

Just a drop of epoxy in the screw head after putting it in its place to avoid the screw falls down.
In this way you will be able to remove the screw in the future
If you use Loctite, you will not be able to remove the screw

Clean well the surface before gluing

I can't get the screw out in the first place in order to attach the deploy ant to he new gen gator strap
once I get it mounted and can then follow your instructions
