I use diamond dental burs (usually use coarse grit) to get in those nooks and crannies. They come in a dizzying number of shapes and are pretty cheap on the Bay. I mount them in scrap wood (drill a small hole and tap in with a small hammer) to make it easier to work the metal.

Apologies if this is a dumb question, but what kind of case work do you do with these? They look a little too coarse for softening polished or brushed cases, but admittedly I've never done any kind of case work 😅
