Hi guys,

This is a really dumb qn - pls bear with me.

I am looking to change the strap on the 026K, but wanna know if I need to extra careful with the DLC-ed screws on the lugs and the clasp. Specifically, I wanna know if they are susceptible to being scratched by the screw-driver, etc.

Thx in advance guys!

I didn't have any trouble with mine, but you can always put a small piece of tape around the screw driver tip to protect the finish.

Definitely do not attempt to do it with bare screwdrivers. The screw bars are not DLC coated. They used some kind of cheaper coating method for them.

thx so much u guys... u rock!

i have done as suggested, and managed to keep the "damage" minimal.

no pics for now though, coz i failed to realise that the DLC-ed buckle that came with the stock leather strap was 22mm, whereas my new strap is 24/24. argghh!!

am looking to buy one asap. recommendations always welcome!

cheers,

thx dude - i'm lovin it!

wat i did for the tiny scraps on the screws was to use a black marker pen to 'dot' over it... seems ok for now, but i'm not sure this will work for ur crown guard.

hope u manage to repair it!
