Quick crown question for Carrera owners?

For anyone who has or is familiar with the newer Carrera models, particularly the Calibre 1887 chrono shown below but other similar watches as well could be fine, does the crown ever lock in place? Can you screw it all the way in or can you always wind it by turning it clockwise even when it's pushed in?

(btw the crown being pulled in the photo has nothing to do with my question, just a coincidence)

I ask this because I purchased a V6F (w/ standard A7750) of this model and noticed that even when pushed all the way in, the crown was always in wind position (unless you pulled it out for date/time change). You can't screw it in or pull the crown out to wind (mine as least); you just turn it right where it is against the watch which is very awkward cause it's so close to the case

Anyway, it had that and another issue so I sent it back to the TD to fix it, and maybe there's some broken translation here and I'll try to clarify either way, but I think the TD repair person is telling me the crown does not screw in on this model. My other Tag rep is a chrono Link (Calibre 16) and the crown clearly screws/unscrews in and out in order to wind. Anyone care to chip in for the Carrera? Thanks.

Edit: Watched the video on Puretime below... Looks like the person just pulls out the crown to change the date without unscrewing, and it's barely out at all from the case in date or even time position. So perhaps this is normal for this watch then? Curious to get confirmation from another owner though. Seems odd either way...

I have a 1887 and winding is done from the "normal" position (ie close to the case), so this is not a defect in your watch, I guess.

I have the same watch as pictured and the crown doesn't screw down (like an aquaracer for example). Winding is done with the crown pushed in, pull out once for date change and twice to move the hands.

Great, thanks guys for the confirmation. Is it just me that finds that strange though? I for sure thought it was a defect, however more so because my crown was a tad slanted and not straight to the watch. It feels awkward winding the crown so close to the case though cause there's limited room with the case in the way. Although I guess it has no crown guard whatsoever, not even shallowly built into the case like the Omega PO for example, so if any watch should do this I guess it's one like this. Would make more sense for a manual watch though, not an automatic imo.
