Hey everyone,

Someone had asked to post photos of the DSN 127E w/ the old Noob case so here it is. I tried to compare it to some photos I've found here: http://thewatchlounge.com/vintagewatchfridays-panerai-luminor-1950-fiddy-pam-127/

Hope it's of some use. I just picked up the watch so please excuse the strap screw :)

The DSN seems to have a stronger magnification than the gen photo. The font is much lighter and more crisp on gen.

Perhaps it's just the angle, but the DSN bezel seems a bit thicker.

The DSN case and crystal looks a bit thicker overall when comparing these two photos.

The crown edges looks sharper on the gen photo. The DSN crown looks much smaller inside the caseguard vs. the gen photo. The "PANERAI" engravings next to "FIRENZE" is off.

With that said, I'm happy with what I got. I have the watch here at work today so let me know if you want to see any particular angles.

Enjoy!

Thanks for taking the time to do this.
I agree with your observations, dial inscriptions too dark, taller bezel and taller crystal. Also dial cutouts look shallower than gen.
CG chamfering is too pronounced and there's a little too much space for the crown.
I do like DSN hands a lot.
Very nice piece anyway, wear it well :)

I agree with kilo comments

I will add some comments about the movement

PANERAI Engravings have narrower fonts than gen, inaccurate in the same way as KW and SF movements. The placement of PANERAI engravings is completely wrong, just like SF movements.
The BALANCE COCK has specially inaccurate wrong placement of PANEARI and regulation scale – llllllllllllllllll + the surface under the dagger is not engraved. It is really far from the gen Balance Cock
SWAN NECK spring is really good, maybe the best ever seen in reps
MICROMETRIC SCREW: nice and with correct length. Head is accurate enough but, as always, without regulation holes.
INCABLOC is rep modified but way worse than current productions from KW, ZFac and SF. Rep Lyre spring
WHEELS SCREWS: seemingly better than usual rep screws
BLUE SCREWS: seemingly flat surface
SUNBURST EFFECT: I cannot see a clear sunburst effect
MOVEMENT SEEMS LOW BEAT

Some improvements but obvious and serious flaws. PANERAI –PANERAI placements, BALANCE COCK and LOW BEAT are specially important
