Quick and easy bronze patina cleaning : ketchup

If ketchup does that to bronze I can only imagine what it does to the inside of a stomach...
I think it's because ketchup has tomatoes (acidic), vinegar, and salt, basically it's the same as doing a vinegar scrub but cleaner quicker and cheaper

I think this is now my preferred method, I will just get ketchup packets when getting takeout :ROFLMAO:

Oh wow nice one bro! I was just looking at some newer bronze releases from Glycine the other day. I always disliked the patina aspect of bronze parts and was kind of turned off by the steps for cleaning in their instruction manual. But ketchup, who knew? You could have some fries with that, haha.

I did a patina reset on my 1074 last spring using diet coke. Let it sit in diet coke for 5 minutes and got similar results. Below is before and after pictures. I read about both the ketchup method, vinegar and coca cola. I happened to have some coke I was going to dump down the drain that day so I thought I'd give it a try first.
