Questions of AP ROO bracelet clasp

I have been studying the old threads as I am lusting over an AP ROO, and I came across someones comment that the clasp on the bracelet was innacurate in that it simply required pulling to open it rather than pressing the buttons on the clasp to release it.

Anyone have any info on this? Has this been fixed on the newer models? Is this only for the asian version or is this the MBW version also?

What about the date mag, is this improved on the asian models, or do I need and MBW model to get the more accurate crystal?

I don't care about the subdial issues, but the clasp bothers me.

Lastly, is the MBW really that much better than the asian version? Seems like a lot of trouble and expense to locate and buy one versus just emailing one of our reputable dealers for the asian one.

the clasp sucks for how much these are. mine is from andrew so i only know about that model. i dont have the mbw model so i cant speak about that version. to open the clasp all is you do is pull...they are fake buttons on the clasp. besides that and other visual flaws comparing it to the gen its a great watch.

forgot....to get the mag on the dial you need the mbw version. although, the word on the street is that they will be coming out with the updated version of the rubber clad models, which i would think would have the correct mag on the dial.....hopefully

I owned a MBW AP ROO. The clasp sucks just like the "normal" ones.The buttons are merely there for show and it cannot be pressed to release or open.All you need to do is pull and it keep popping out after sometimes when it is loose.All in all it is still a great watch to own. :wink:
