the swiss is spot on, 0 s per day, awesome.
8 seconds for a 2813 is average, could be a lil better but a lot worse as well.
All good, i'd give it a green light

There is no better one. Amplitude and beat rate are perfect. +8 seconds a day is within COSC standards of +8 -5.

These aren't quartz!

COSC standards for mechanical movements bigger than 20mm are -4+6
A 2813 is 26mm, so its COSC ISO is -4+6.

Virtually there is no ISO for quartz movs, however through procedure ISO, standards can be defined for quartz as well.
Quartz COSC standard varies between +- 0.07 at 23° (25.55 seconds per year) and +-0.02 at 8° (7 seconds per year), almost perfect.

That said, only around 3% of Swiss made movements is COSC certified, so I'd probably have kept the 21j anyway. Regulation and tweaking aside, sometimes they can be much less sharp than +8.

A Little Bit about QC pictures and movements.

Both watches have arrived.
The "ultimative DSSD" with the Gen Swiss movement, Look at the QC pics witch sayed 0 sec a Day looses in 24 hours 6 minutes:frusty:

The " cheap " submariner for 128 $ and Asien movement, Look at pics, looses 2 seconds in 24 hours:canuck:

Dont know about ordernd a Swiss again:lolcina:

As I've been saying for a year, those qc timing pics are about useless.

Did you fully wind the ETA before use? They will run slow when not wound properly. If you did, then you need to open up the case back and move the regulator to the + side a little and try again until you get it closer.

Forget about getting 2 seconds a day. That Asian movement was a fluke. Next week it could be off by a minute a day.

I think the swiss needs to be fixed.
six minutes in 24 hours isn't something that you can just regulate out
I don't think.

Don't overwind the movement for God's sake.
Just 5-10 max small turns should be ok.
Before regulating the movement, let is settle for a week, sometimes plane pressure, a sudden bump or even sensible temperature difference can produce a variation.
6 minutes a day sucks ass badly tho, make sure it's not damaged.

Settle for a week?

Sleeping the movement in this Time,
Putting in the watchwinder or wearing it?

Thanks.

any of those, just wait a few days and see if it settles within a possible regulation frame.
It's not the best way but if you have no timing machine, that's as far as you can go.
If it doesn't, it needs repair, stripped hairpsring or a damaged wheel. I doubt you will be able to tweak to decency a 6 minutes error.
