Question Re: Cartier Santos Galbee

A curious question. I haven’t seen an authentic cartier santos galbee. I was just wondering if it has a polished stainless steel finish or not. The rep I have is grayish/unpolished stainless steel..matter of fact it looks too gray

Any idea?

I've looked at the gen tank much more than the santos (in contemplation of purchasing the gen) - my recollection of the gen santos is a brushed case and band [but on the newer ones I think the face plate (ring??)] is polished. The bigger issue is the face texture is not right and the rep sapphire crown jewel is round not cut - but I have a rep santos quartz I bought from Hont that I am VERY happy with.

My mother used to have one [Gen], but it was in TT, the bezel and screws on both the bezel and bracelet were polished while the rest was brushed SS in a Matt-Grey shade.
