Wondering if this will work. A genuine vintage Breitling dial with 3-6-9 layout. Will the 7750 with a datewheel work with this fine, just the datewheel will be hidden under the dial? I couldn't see why not, but wasn't sure.

In the 3-6-9 navis the gen dial is slightly bigger and must be ground down about a mm or so to fit in the case. Once in, the datewheel opening is too large, thus you will see the outer edge of the datewheel showing through. Search for Takashi's post, as he has pics of his transplant posted. IMO, I would stick with the rep dial as it is pretty decent, and the date window looks terrible looks bad with the gen dial. Get a 6-9-12 version if you want to do a dial swap, as it drops right in.

Cool, thanks andreww. I was actually considering getting a Serie Speciale, however couldn't find any 12-9-6 layout dials on EBay that I liked but saw a few 3-6-9 w/o a date window that I would rock.

If its 3-6-9 without a date window its fake, or a very old version that will not work with the 7750.

These are two I was looking at:

Actually, never mind. I just saw the second one says calibre unknown so I could only assume handwind instead of the 7750 that this one uses. Thanks for the info, I'll keep hunting for maybe a little newer dial to use. This one though, would this work in a serie speciale rep without any issues (although ugly)?
