hello all,

recently bought a couple breitlings (will be posting pics ASAP) and i had a question about the bracelet...1) is it just me or is it a pain in the butt to unlock the clasp on the new breits? is this normal? is their a trick or something i am missing? 2) is their anything i could do to loosen up the links? some of the links are very tight and they kind of lock up onto eachother..if that makes any sense. sounds stupid, but could you put WD-40 on the links to lube 'em up? any feedback would be helpful. -thanks

The clasp is offcentered and purposely like that as it is on the Gen.
I do agree though the links are tighter than they should be.

There was a great post (i believe it was here) about soaking the bracelet only (remove the head) in a WD40 filled ziplock bag and shaking it around for 10 minutes.
Clean after with soap and water and this will lossen up all of the bracelet links, I have not tries it but plan on doing it someday soon.

Cheers,
M

The clasps are extra tight on the Breitling replicas, definitley won't fall off!

Yes d the above, I had a couple of links that were stiff on my Navitimer, so I soaked a cloth in some lubricant and just rubbed it in. Best to remove the whole bracelet form the watch case first to prevent unecessary mess.
