Question about the Slide Rule on Navitimer Reps

I see that this has not been mentioned on the sticky but on the gen Navitimer models the slide rule moves in the opposite direction that you turn the bezel and is independent of the crystal, meaning the crystal is attached to the case but not the bezel. I saw in Navi reps that the crystal is attached to the bezel.

Has this changed over time?

Not sure which model you're referring to, but on my gen Navitimer 46 B01 (2015 model), it moves in the direction you're turning and is connected to the crystal. That's why it only specced to 3 ATM water resistance. As the bezel is super thin to accommodate the huge dial, I can't think of any other way to solve this mechanically...

Not even sure what you are describing mate.

the bezel, crystal and slide rule insert are all part of the same (simple ) mechanism. Turning the bezel counterclockwise moves the crystal and the insert clockwise. Are you saying you’ve seen k e where when you turn the bezel the insert goes the opposite direction? That would seem complex mechanically.
