So I have a question. How does the reset on the Asian 7750 compare to the gen movement on these?

On the asians after I stop it and press reset it literally jerks quickly to the zero positions... Is the gen movement the same way? I'm just curious if I give it to someone to play with who owns a gen will they notice a difference in the way the movement resets? Thanks.

ive wondered the same thing too.my gen quartz chronos all reset with the chrono hand swiftly gliding clockwise to the 0 position altho i feel for gen automatics it will still be that springy hard jump to the 0.

Once, Eddie Lee send me this info's about 7750.

"Do not activate the chrono ..until u have done all these steps.

When u receive your piece either genuine or rep….do remember to handiwnd the piece ,,,may be 50 rounds, so to generate enough power reserve….then u shake the piece like a mad cow for 3-4 minutes….

Then pull the crown out to adjust the hour hand manually to determine when is am/ pm….see the date change…then u know when is am/ pm. Make sure u know when is am/ pm..

Make sure u don’t adjust the date between 10pm-3am ever…---don’t ask me why ,,,,it just works this way.â€â€because if u do,,,the date will jam or go half way.

After u have confirmed the am/ pm…..u can adjust the crown to get to the desired date you want.

As for the timer hand to reset back to zero, it is pure luck….u may have perfect reset, or less than perfect reset. My genuine omega did not reset back to zero after 3 months. ---by the way, make sure everytime u activate chrono, u have enough power reserve"

These are replicas we are dealing with.

I have a hard time believing you should do this to either a rep or gen... :?

uhm.. The question was in the speed of how they reset, not weather or not they should reset to zero ebcause obviously it should...

Im asking if the gen resets in a similar way, because once you hit reset on the rap the hand jerk in a spring-like action to zero.. Is it the same way in the gens?

Shaking supposedly works the oil around and lubricates the movement. Personally I have never done this, nor do I plan on doing it :D

that's great news, thanks guys.

BTW, I was curious what the 9 o'clock button is for on the Bentley GT. Anyone know? When I try to press it, it doesn't budge. Is it the same way on the gen? If not wouldnt this be a dead giveaway if someone tries to push the button to see what happens and realizes its not even moving? Or is it my particular watch? Thanks.

just read up on it. Turns out it's a valve so it's not really supposed to do anything lol. Especially since I'm not diving.

By the way, I read somewhere that as you turn the outer bezel ont he GT the inner bezel is supposed to turn on the gen. Is this correct? Because it's defintely not like that on the rep.
