Friendly Greeting;

On July 4th, 2024 Jtime shipped my package via expedited handling (more expensive shipping option). I have not been able to track the package via the link provided by jtime. "To track your package, you may use the following link: https://www.17track.net/en. "

I used google translate image (chinese to english) but saw nothing on the invoice that indicated which courier was used.

Please excuse my primitive mark up, but can anyone tell me if the circled in red, numeral "1" (or letter I ?) is part of the tracking number?

It seems like the tracking number should be showing up in the system seven days after leaving Jtime.

Any insight would be appreciated.

take care
DL

I think it is better to ask us directly via email or whatsapp instead of here.
You will have a proper answer for sure.
Thank you.

Thank you for your response. Please see reply email (a portion of the email chain regarding this transaction) dated July 9th in which the above question was posed.

This is not a critique or review. I am simply asking whether or not the 1 at the far right is part of the tracking number.

thanks
DL

The snip depicted in post #3 above, shows an email sent to Service Jtime on Tuesday, July 9th. Today is July 13th, still no response from Jtime on whether or not the "1" or "I" is part of the tracking number in the snip depicted in Post #3 above. I am not going to beg Jtime for an answer on this.

I thought that maybe another RWI user had run into the same issue (seller not specifying which shipper was used), figured it out for themselves, and then might chime in after recognizing the oddly spaced character to the right of the grouped numbers as "included in the tracking number" or "excluded from the tracking number."

I am fairly "hip" to adapting to language barriers and other cultural norms and do not expect special treatment or grace.

Anyway, I give up. If the watch comes the watch comes. If it doesn't it doesn't. Not the end of the world either way.

pathetic deflection. lol. Zero acknowledgement that appropriate avenue was initially used (email sent and never responded to). Zero value added with regard to what the tracking information format might or might not include.

Again, Thanks for the thoughtful responses. You are an excellent ambassador for this hobby.

Of you're not sure, quickest way is to try with and workout and see which one gives you a valid tracking number.
Was in a similar situation, picture wasn't clear enough, tried 2 numbers, 1 worked and the other not. Took me 5 seconds!

Thanks for the reply.

I've been using both numbers for a week. Just looking for the most efficient (correct) way to accomplish the task.

Get back to me when you have an original thought. lol.
My original thought is you are an idiot who can't read properly and loves to make a scene on tiny matters, stupid in your own kind and doesn't respect others. Not unique here tho as we have at least 5 morons just like you who come here to whine this whine that every single day. Get some education, learn how to listen to others and learn how to use a tracking number, steep learning curve for you but hang in there. Wish you can figure that out within a week after you receive your parcel.

Hi OP
It took me a bit more time to find which order you are referring to here due to you did not give me much info about this order. (name, order number, email info etc)
But anyways, I think Lana has already replied to you email.
Indeed she took a bit longer time to get your email replied, but only because she was working on this with our shipping agent and was also waiting for a confirm from the shipping cost before she can reply to you properly.
Hope you can receive the package soon, and for any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us via email and we will help you.

Thanks for the reply, sir.

I let the issue go and didn't really think anymore about it. I was pleasantly surprised to get the notification from Lana (your colleague) yesterday.

The issue, was that the "circled in red" tracking number on the shipping invoice page appeared to have a "1" or "I" as the last character in the series, when in fact it turned out to be a four (4). Please see image shown above in post #1.

Lana alluded to insufficient resolution of the shipping invoice as the reason for the mistake. I told Lana that I thought that maybe masking that last digit was a safety measure intended to throw off customs, and if that was the case, it would be helpful to mention to the buyer that the tracking number had been masked and that the unmasked tracking number would be forwarded to the buyer, after the package had cleared customs. If that was in fact accurate, I saw that as a clever countermeasure, but that it would probably be a good idea to advise the buyer of this slight of hand, beforehand. She said that no, the 4 appeared as a 1 simply because of low scan resolution.

No harm intended on sellers end and no harm perceived on buyers end.

In any event, I doubt that I am the first buyer who has experienced this situation (obscured tracking numbers as the result of insufficient scanning resolution) and I hope that memorializing the occurrence here in the forum will help a future buyer answer his own question. I have been active in online automotive forums for thirty or so years, and searchable topics and keywords have saved me countless times in terms of both time and in treasure. I hope that this thread helps the next guy.

take care.
