I came across this pam164 for sale that the owner claims is a gen. I'd like the opinion of more experienced members to give me their view as to weather it is real or not. Thanks in advance

Yea, that's what confused me as well. Shouldn't the case back have the watch number out of how many particular 164s were made that year?

Here's my Noob rep, which may help in the comparison. :)

Perhaps in the early years (it was produced from 2004 until now) the caseback did not have version numbers like the latest "N" version?

I think it looks gen in every other way.

And I think my Noob rep is excellent! :D

Del's pictures are the best. I tend to fall into the same trap every single time. I see Del's pictures. I keep them on my phone. Stare at them continuosly for a day or two. And then put my order on one. Thanks for nothing Del :)

problem with pams is that the reps are generally so good you need a movement shot in the least. Or just buy a gen of another brand and keep your rep pams :p

Leaving aside the last replicas from Noob and H maker there are not really good reps of this watch. It is not either Noob or H maker, and the watch look gen
The caseback has like gen engraved OP and Number series, but year and millesimation are missing.
Maybe an earlier 2004 version without year number and millesimation in caseback. Who knows?

Anyway, looking the pics from DEL and the quality of the watch, do you continue being willing to buy the gen?? LOL

Save your money or buy another gen brand as above already said.

The gen I had didn't have screw in lugs for the strap, it had the new system.
The o.p.s watch has screw ins which I think is a wee bit suspect.

Hi midas for yout input
But maybe it is the same matter as on caseback inscriptions. Perhaps 2004 earlier versions have not new quick release system.
I'm not saying it is gen I'm saying that I not find such a replica which can have the features of this watch.
