Hello everyone,

I'm a bit confused by how Tag names their watches. I find that there are many versions of the Carrera Calibre 1887 Chrono with different faces; like these two:

My first question for you is: Do these watches actually share the same name, or are they called different things?

The consensual super replica list ( https://forum.replica-watch.info/threads/consensual-list-super-reps-nwbigs.380405 ) considers the Tag Heuer Carrera calibre 1887 V6F - Ceramic Bezel Black Dial on SS to be a super replica. I'm not sure which of the above this refers to. I'm hoping it's the first one, as that's the version I prefer. My second question: could someone please tell me which one is considered a super rep - or are they both?

My final question: I can't find the first watch with a black bezel anywhere. I have found one with a stainless bezel, which I like almost as much:

Is this watch with the stainless bezel also considered a super rep?

Thanks for all your help!

First off, I'm not a Tag Heuer fan (although I think it was one of my first reps, a Mercedes SLR one, many many many years ago) but a quick search on Google could have yielded the results you were looking for.

Answer to your first question. They have the same calibre (1887) so they are in the same family so more than one watch can have the 1887 designation. The first watch is a Calibre 1887 Automatic Chronograph 100 M - ?41 mm reference number CAR2110.BA0724 (CAR2110.FC6266 for leather strap version). The second watch is a Calibre 1887 Automatic Chronograph 100 M - ?43 mm reference number CAR2A10.BA0799 (CAR2A10.FC6235 for leather strap version). As you can see, the descriptions are almost identical, except the size (41mm vs 43mm).

Answer to second question. The NWBIG list clearly states "ceramic bezel". Now I don't know about you, but only one of those two has a ceramic bezel. So unfortunately the answer to your second question is the second watch is the super rep, not the first one.

Answer to final question. I have seen the picture of the third watch in many sites but there is no official page for it on the Tag Heuer website nor can I find a reference number for it. I would guess that Tag announced it during Baselworld but never released it. So it's not a super rep because only the ceramic bezel one is the super rep, and because it does not exist except in pictures.
