Question about Asian 7750 @6 Daytona

Hello guys!
I ordered a Daytona 116520 with an Asian 7750 Vaijux movment with running seconds @6 .
I chose this option because first of all it was cheaper then the 4130 version, and as this is my first rep I wasn't quite sure and didn't wanna put too much money on the line and 2nd I don't need a 1:1 superclone as I am new to this and no ones gonna check my watch for authenticity and obviously I'm not trying to sell it to anyone claiming its the "real deal".

I bought it from a TD of this forum btw.

Now I've been reading up a bit about this movement and the issue with the running seconds at 6.

How should I treat this watch when it finally arrives?
I never ever need to use the chrono feature at all and definetly wont use it on this watch because of that issue.
Should I get it serviced right away? Can I do something to increase reliability?

I plan on wearing this watch daily and I think I don't have to wind it up manually often.

Thanks in advance, I'm still new to this.

just watch in

As far as i know the 7750 has several working problems, specially when the chrono is used. I'm in the same situation as you (first order) but in my case i decided to go for the 7750 because i never had that movement before.
From what i read in the forum, the 4130 is far better but (again) i understand that, as a first buy, i also did not want to spend too much money.
Perhaps i'm saying something really absurd but i intend to change the entire movement (i suppose you can buy it for 150€) if the one that comes with the watch breaks.

If you're not planning on using the chrono then by and large you should be ok. Just regular winding and time adjustment when needed.

Call it luck of the draw, some A7750 just runs without any issues like my SA Blacksteel.

The A7750 uses a modifier plate with a gear train to move the running seconds to 6. It puts extra stress on the movement and they are somewhat unreliable. Very few watchsmith will even work on them. Also, the modifier plate moves the small chronograph hands and can skip when reset, so basically don't run it. Your blacksteel is in the native 6-9-12 configuration and the movement itself is reliable. The issue is that modifier plate, some are better than others and can run for years. More recent ones added a jewel or two to reduce resistance and they are more reliable then ones from like 5 to 10 years ago.

Do you know anyone who can reliably work on one? I have one which has a grinding noise when the winding weight spins. It seems to run ok but has very little reserve. I'm a little disappointed in the performance. I think a good service would help.

I would not worry too much. You seem to have the right attitude: If you are not obsessed about the chrono function you should be fine. The subdials at three and nine o'clock are fixed on this one anyway. Also, I would not bother to have it serviced until it starts giving you trouble. A loud rotor - if you get one - is no reason for a rather expensive full service. That's a 5 minute job.

Just keep in mind, that any mechanical watch is a delicate piece of technology. When you wind it manually, wind it rather slow and steady instead of forcefully and hectic. Too much torque can cause damage. Treat it with respect and don't bang it around too much - and if you're lucky it will give you years and years of pleasure.

A service may improve it, but the issue of poor reserve may be in the modifier plate which may or may not be serviceable as they are non standard, so parts are a big question once it's apart. I believe domi works on them. Since it's the same general issue that happens with the AP ROO replicas your best bet is to look and see who has serviced those and they should also be able to work on that
