Question about 195 caseback font

Well I have a 195 coming and have a question... I know on the gens the back is engraved with the persons name who got it. I think it would be nice to have my name engraved on the back to make it look more like a genuine piece. I know it will kill the resell value (thus why I probably wont sell it). So does anyone know what tipe of font was used and the size that was used on the 195? Here is a link to a pic:

Myfonts identifies the Panerai font as this-

The name engaving looks the same....kinda hard to tell as the caseback blurs as you enlarge it.

It's hard to tell in the Jimmy one. Since all the PANERAI lettering on the case back is upper case and the only two letters in Jimmy Fu that are upper case are absent from the other lettering on the caseback. However, the M and C look pretty close in the Mario Curti version.

You think if we emailed Panerai they would send us their font files?

For some reason I think they would send us one of those cards where you can Record a message and have everyone at Panerai recorded laughing at us

I would say just get it close. Chances are that Panerai used a tweeked version of a standard font, like they do for the dial print.

Besides, who has seen one of the real casebacks in person enough to call it out if it isn't spot on?

could this be use as a inspiration

i was looking to get one from Davidsen - but i think that the case back is not the best to do the engraving on as the "Special edition of 200 units" sits to far from the edge, and it seems like the font size is to small - it was specialy clear now when i saw the Jimmy Fu picture of his Gen 195 case back.
to bad though, i really like Davidsen's work....he should have had the blueprints to make them from.

I would love to do this myself. I've got the DSN case back, but as marinamm20 said - the "Special Edition of" part should be on the sloped area of the back and isn't. Where did you get your back from?

DSN's also seems to have the wrong BB number.
