As someone who buys watches often and rarely sells them, I have quite a bit of experience when it comes to transactions. I know things can happen in shipping if not packed properly, I know to be patient with the postal system, and I know if a seller is trustworthy or not. So I thought.

I purchased an H-Fac Breitling Blackbird that I wanted to add to my collection. The seller @Quartzkid2 is someone I have purchased from before. I may have bought 2 or 3 other watches from him, one having a movement issue likely due to shipping, but resolved fairly between gentleman. No reason he couldnt be trusted at that point, heck....at one point, he posted how he was scammed himself from another member he shipped a watch to that was refunded on Paypal. I digress.
So anywho, I saw his ad for a Breitling Blackbird that was " serviced and its winding, setting, and date flips over like gen". I ended up buying this from him. As usual he shipped in a timely manner, everything was going good. When I received the watch, I opened it on my workbench so things dont slide off the table etc as you never know how things are packed. It was packed ok, not bad, not great, but no reason to be alarmed. Needless to say, it doesnt wind so well, or at all it just kind of tries to catch a gear and misses. Likely can be fixed by your average watchsmith, not the end of the world, right? Well the kick in the nuts was that the Pearl block (not just the pearl), yes the entire block was missing along with the screw that holds it in. The block looks like the others on the E,W, and S located at the 15 minute increments. Mind you I checked every square mm of the packaging and workbench (which was clean) and there was no parts to be found. None. I'd like to think that the parts fell off the watch prior to him packing it and he didn't see this, hence I would understand his shock. Except he has been avoiding replying to PM's and providing the solution he was required to provide by administration. I even had to PM him here 3 times to read his messages on RG. At this point he stopped responding completely. This has told me what kind of person I am dealing with, yet another SCAMMER! Here is a pic of the missing block:
Immediately upon opening this, I contacted @Quartzkid2 and explained the problems. Then crickets. I sent another PM, crickets. Days go by and he asks me to send pics, which I promptly do. Then more crickets. Ended up sadly having to get @Grapeshot involved who determined that @Quartzkid2 needs to refund me and accept a return of this watch. He communicated this to him and it fell upon deaf ears. @Quartzkid2 eventually responded and wanted me to send the watch back to him for a watchsmith because he " might have a pearl that will fit from a Breitling galactia". Well thats great but a Galactica uses a different pearl and the pearl block is completely different. Im also sure the DLC wouldn't match. I explained this solution does not work for me, I dont want someone to fabricate a makeshift solution. If he found the parts at his home and shipped them to me, I'd gladly keep the watch. But he never offered to look or comply with Grapeshot. He also never said how he would replace the pearl block, just the pearl.....in itself is just weird. The only resolution is a return and refund at this point.
As of now he has been banned from Repgeek due to his actions.
I bet he doesn't even have the balls to reply here.
I emplore you all to NOT DO BUSINESS WITH @Quartzkid2 This is not the kind of member we need on RWI, thats for sure!
