Just ordered one of these off AliE for like $70 or so. Review coming when it gets here.

Anyone know anywhere else to get them as the original ones in the sticky looked awesome and were only $80?

Which one did you get?

I was looking, but kept looking at the date position, it just bugs me and is a big give away.
Maybe I am too fussy.

peewee On the back of the good reviews and someone here saying it was OK.

It looks fine but the date window is a tell along with about 30 other things. Looks fine for a daily beater but the ones in the F1 sticky look like really good reps. Best I'm hoping for with this one is that it doesn't scream 'fake watch' to anyone who doesn't know the F1 inside out

Yeah I thought that but $200+ is a bit hard to swallow for the watch. It's too close to gen F1 money for my liking.

http://www.puretime.watch/product/f...bezel-black-dial-on-ss-bracelet-ronda-quartz/ I emailed about that one the other day and they say it is in stock, it's the orange version of the second one you linked to.

Nice watch, pics when it arrives? Likewise with mine to show what you can get for £50 (probably not much). I'm not sure if I regret ordering it actually, maybe I should have gone for the better rep but we'll see how it looks in person

You will end up buying a gen.
A good used one is close to good rep money stateside.

They are about £650 for a good used gen in the UK, or ,£200 for a rep.

I still haven't decided on what to do yet.

No I haven't either, I really like the look of the watch but I'm just not sure I like the it enough to spend more than about £100 on one (gen or rep). I want it for a daily beater for work etc - seemed ideal because I won't be scratching anything too expensive and its Quartz, I know it's not an accurate rep but I still don't want anything that screams 'fake'...

I had exactly the same dylema.

I bought a Sekonda!
I am still interested in a rep, but the more you read the harder it gets.
I saw some nice genuine Seiko's for around the £100 you wouldn't go far wrong with one.

I wish I'd gone down the Seiko route now. It's not bad but it's not for me - sub dials are wrong, bracelet feels cheap, bezel looks OK now I've shaved the paint slightly around the numbers.

I bought this one' its more for the look rather than function.

http://www.johnlewis.com/sekonda-1005-27-men's-chronograph-rubber-strap-watch-black/p1611655

The red second had is always sweeping so makes the tachymeter pretty much useless.
The stop watch second counter can't be seen if you want to use it about half past 6.
The stop watch resets by unwinding the same amount as it wound up.
If you ran it for 3 minutes it will spin backwards quickly 3 revolutions on reset.

On the plus side I got it from Debenams for £56, it keeps perfect time & looks OK.
Nobody is going to be upset if it gets trashed, it comes with a 2 year warranty too.

Think I should have bought a Seiko too though..?

Watching.

Sorry I forgot all about this thread. If you're thinking about it, I wouldn't bother - Silix has some nicer looking in the 'economy' section for very little more. I'll post pictures when I get a chance but haven't had much time to spend on this
