Is it just me or is it normal that TD says they do not provide high resolution pictures? I'm trying to point out an error on a dial and they won't send me proper pics. In regards to a misaligned crown on the dial, TD claims that even an original Rolex can have a misaligned crown. Am I just getting pushed around by this TD?

Every TD I've seen and used here sends more than acceptable pictures. You're buying a watch from China, not from a professional photography studio.

Have you never seen a gen Rolex with a misaligned crown ?

Hi and welcome to RWI! Glad you found your way here.

The QC pics I received so far have always been acceptable and sufficient for approval.

Please take some time to read the sticky threads in the new members area (all subsections), learn the basic forum rules and get some very good advice in the process. A number of questions has already been answered there, this is just an example:

As a new subscriber, you've already been directed to this thread, please read carefully and look through the linked additional threads:

Another good thread to read to understand where RWI comes from and some fundamentals is this:

Most of the information you need to know to start is there. If you're preparing to buy, read the stickies before ordering. When you're finished, you can continue learning by reading the stickies in all remaining sections. If it's stickied, it's important information.

If you intend to sell, read the sales rules and all stickies in the sales section with particular care and make sure you understand each single rule. Sales rules infraction is taken very seriously here. As a new member you are not eligible to sell. Using the sales section is a privilege, eligibility must be earned, make sure you know and understand how.

For anything else, feel free to reach out to @eBoy or me, we're happy to assist, advise, direct, explain. Don't hesitate.

Don't be afraid to post noob questions in the new members area. In doubt, use the flame free zone. If you feel uncomfortable anywhere in the new members area, please reach out to @eBoy or me. Mutual respect is of utmost importance to us. On the other hand, we're grown-ups and are supposed to be able to deal with a bit of irony, don't take it personally, ever, a bit of irony never harmed anyone. If you laugh at jokes, you'll make friends faster.

This forum is a treasure trove of information and benefits from the engagement of all members who take their time to share their knowledge, help each other out and have some fun. We hope that you'll benefit and enjoy this platform as well as contribute positively to it.

If at any point you feel to contribute also on another level, feel free to pm the boss (trailboss99) to become a supporter and get some little perks with the status (editing rights, for example).

Enjoy the forum.

If you have a specific concern about the watch you may post the QC picture showing your concern. However, I can’t guarantee you won’t get your ass roasted if the concern is frivolous, but it is acceptable to post the pic under the RWI QC guidelines.

You just opened the flood gates of ridicule the OP will get if they post pics and it's a frivolous concern.

First of all, what error do you find out on the dial? And if you find that out from the QC photos, why don't you just point it out? Chances are it is too small to call it a "problem". The problem with QC photos is, if you put anything on a 10x magnified, you can find something wrong even if it's a gen Rolex. Not a misaligned crown, but a slightly misaligned rehaut, or number etc.

Says a lot that the OP is clueless about slight flaws in Gen Rolexes. Probably has never owned one and that's where the problems start.

There error is mentioned in my original post, misaligned crown of the dial to the right of the 12 marker. QC pics aren't under any magnification, but pretty obvious. look, I started this thread for opinions as I'm a newbie to reps, if it's normal just say so without slamming.

Firstly, don't take things too seriously here. It can be seen as harsh, but let it roll mate. It's all good. It is banter.

I agree with the above post. It could well be angle. I honestly don't think I would've noticed it. That being said, others may have, you clearly have.

These are good pictures though. Remember there was a time in a galaxy far far away - that QC pictures didn't exist at all

As far as I am concerned it’s just the angle, but i think that you can ask for another watch. That’s the whole purpose of the QC. If you are happy they send it, if not they send another or they fix it. I’m also a newbie but it’s a very simple thing.

The crown is slightly off to the right in the two pics you posted and you have to realise that in your hand 12" from your face or on the wrist you won't notice it. If you RL this one because of the miniscule flaw you see, there is a good chance the next QC pics you receive of the next watch might be worse. Even gen watches will have flaws as mentioned above and you are paying a small percentage for a replica of those from an illegal factory making illegal products.
What TD did you order the watch through?.

As said above, the coronet appears slightly right justified compared to the 12:00 indicee on the dial. It could be the angle, it could be the lighting. It's difficult to say for sure. Personally I would not reject this though based off of that, but I'm not the one that has to wear it and look at it.

I agree the coronet is slightly off. The question you have to ask yourself is if you can live with it. If not RL it and have your TD get you another one. Like theyve already mentioned above it’s a rep and there’s always going to be something off. It’s up to you which flaw you can live with and ones you can’t. That being said I don’t see anything wrong with the quality of the pictures.
