What does GL or RL mean?

6 o'clock marker does look a little off to me but it could be the angle the photo was taken

To me it looks crooked. Like the top of it is pointing slightly left.

I suppose you could ask them for more pictures of the watch straight on or perhaps just ask them straight out, "is the 6 o'clock marker crooked?"

Don't really have time for that, I have to decide within 24h. I think I will GL it.

If you hold the edge of something straight against the edge of the 6 mark, you'll see that it points off to the left of the dial, it doesn't line up square with the 12 mark - it's going to be pretty annoying - and I'm not one of the anally retentives on here who get out their geometry sets before OK'ing a watch.

Okay, I think you are right, even zooming out it is clear that the marker is off. Thanks a lot for taking the time to look at my QC. I will RL. If I have another problem with new QC, could I quote you in this post? tripdog ?

Yes.

Point out to the TD that the marker at 6 is not straight - be polite, he won't want to go and get another watch, but that one is unsellable in that condition.

its a bit too crooked. i did a thingy on photoshop - can't post pics unless they're tiny - but the right edge of the 6 o clock marker points direct at the 12. index - if that makes sense?

Yes I did the same thing! Will post here if I still have issues at 2nd QC. And if not, post pics when I receive it.

No it doesn't make sense . . . but I used a very sophisticated system based on a piece paper with a straight edge which I held up to the screen of my laptop. After extensive testing I concluded that the outer edge/left edge of the 6 marker points almost exactly to the outer point/left tip of the 12 marker, where as the right side point to the middle part of the 12 marker, indicating a serious degree of misalignment.

Yeah, thats what I said. I just measured the from the right side. You're a smart guy - I'm sure it made sense.
