QC pics - Pelagos

Hey guys,
Just got the QC pics for my pelagos. Some of the hour markers are crooked, but not terribly off. The date wheel looks pretty off center and there is a black mark on the far right edge. There is also a mark in the lume on the left wing of the hour hand (visible in both photos). They didn't include a lume shot and i'm worried the black spot on the hour hand would be even more noticeable with the lume glowing.

Think this is enough to warrant a rejection?

I wouldn't reject. The next one could be worse! And probably will be as far as the hour marks are concerned.

I wouldnt accept this watch. The date is misaligned to far down and would annoy me everytime i look at it. The hour markers are fine though. I know people keep saying that these are reps and you shouldnt expect too much, but if its something that you know or think might bother you everytime you look at it, I would reject it. Worst that could happen is the TD refuses to swap again and you get your money back and switch TD. Probably gonna get a lot of hate for this comment lol

Welcome onboard. As everyones opinion is different, only you can truly decide if this particular watch is for you or not. As Soxxgo2 says, another piece may have different 'flaws'. IMHO, the markers look ok to me – remember if you're trying to compare rep to OG, it's hardly a fair comparision. That being said, the one thing I noticed was the slightly gunky looking gas valve. Indices look ok to me ... Date wheel, not so – could be a bit sweeter. Ha! You've got me at it now ...

Slightly misaligned markers is probably something you can't avoid with the Pelagos reps. If it really bothers you I'd recommend getting in touch with a watchsmith to get it fixed.
The lume on the hour hand is a bit of an issue though...

That dot looks more like dust on crystal just ask them to check and remove.
Look at the time the date mechanism could already be engaged.

In my eyes there's nothing really wrong with this watch. If the slightly missaligned date or the tiny dot on the hour hand really starts to bother you once you have her on the wrist...these "flaws" can be relieved by any halfway good modder/watchsmith for peanuts. I bet once you have her in hands you have a good laugh on yourself for this thread

Have fun...it's a nice rep of a great watch for less than 10% of the retail price of the gen.

If it's something that you think will drive you crazy every time you look at it, reject it. If it's a flaw you can live with, ok it. That's how I look at mine. It can always get worse though.

I'd ask for an adjustment of the date wheel if he can't show you another date that's centered when the time is well past the changeover zone. All the rest I could accept without regret. The lume is quite weak on these anyway so I doubt the spot on the hour hand would be any more noticeable when charged up and in the dark. And honestly, without a loupe, you'll never, ever be able to see it. And yeah, it could be dust outside the crystal.
