Well, I read the pros and cons about the Calibre 36 and decided to go and buy it... I got the pics today and it looks like they have manage to improve all the inaccuracies with the older versions... Now it is 200 instead of 0 on the dials and obviously crown has a red strip on it...

I think the inaccuracies still include the sunken date which I am not too bothered as I won't notice it anyway! :lolcina::lolcina:

Also, the back says limited edition which it isnt, and finally I think screws in the 7750 movement should be silver but it is blue...

Other than that, I think this rep is SPOT ON... I don't think anyone unless you are a complete geek or a watchxpert can tell... I know I can't and I am well chuffed with the pics! Onward! :jerry::jerry::pirates::pirates:

PS. The red strip is $38 which I think the gen has so I will be buying that too... Watch is a real bargin @ $338 + $38 strap + $30 delivery

They're a beautiful watch, I've had a couple myself... Still, there're a number of flaws...

- slightly thicker than gen
- red dial markings on dial aren't 'raised' per gen
- 'caliper' markings on dial not as crisp as gen
- incorrect bearing
- incorrect white lettering on caseback
- gen runs 36kvph vs rep @ 28.8kvph

That's all I can remember right now. Don't worry about the movement too much - they're no more or less reliable than any other a7750. If problematic, get it serviced as u would any other watch. Enjoy

Why do you say good luck with the movement????
Please explain, as I thought this one was very reliable.

The A7750 in the Calibre 36 has had a lot of problems. I know some members with problems and myself too. Read the threads about that in this forum. There are a lot of comments about issues.
Mine was returned to China, after arrived to Spain was returned again to China because was not repaired and then I changed it for the Calibre 16.
Yes it is an A7750 with the same problems that all A7750. But in the Calibre 36 (I don't know why) it works worse and get breakdown.

The 36 runs a slightly modified movement to achieve the chrono 'disc' setup per the gen... I've not personally experienced problems with the GC's I've owned, an although I'm sure they have a slightly higher failure rate than a normal a7750, I'm of the opinion tht it's not enough of an increase to warrant the 'blacklisting' that they've received... I am of the same opinion regarding the secs @ 12 Ap's too, but would always be prepared to factor in the cost of a service regardless....

I say enjoy the watch, and tackle the problems if and when they show up.
