dear Sirs. I'm buying a PAM 243 from Torobravo. I got QC pictures but it is not the version I want. The qC shoes hands of a different color of the numbers while I want they the same color, especuially when glowing in the dark. I alrady have a pam 243 whit the hands as I want but stopped working and I'm trying to replace it. Mt question is :
There are different types of pam243 and the one I want is no more vailable ?I can't understand the reason of the difference. Any info welcomed and blessd.

Carlo

In this instance, I will allow QC pictures of the flaw that you indicated @Tsubame1 since it is a specific concen. Alternatively, have you looked into having your broken PAM243 repaired? It's using an A7750 movement. Even if it comes to parts replacement it won't be hard for a watchmaker to source.

I'm in Italy and found no watchmaker able to repair it. Maybe cause it's a replica.

Totobaro says his proposal is the last version. The version with hands and number matching is no more available ?

Lume on the hands and the bezel pip not matching the ones on the dial perfectly is normal. Although they use the same lume material, the relatively larger area of the lume on the bezel pip and the hands means that they glow much brighter than the relatively smaller area of the hour markers and the numbers. Kinda like how Seiko dive watches like the monster are brighter than other watches because they have this huge markers that contain the lume.

Only a relume might improve the appearance because a relumer would adjust the lume mix to compensate for the larger area of the hands and pip. I would accept it. Even if you ask for another sample, you will most likely get the same lume difference.

Sorry but I beg to disagree.
If it is normal, why my previous watch have PERFECTLY MATCHING colors in either hands, bezel pip and numbers, both in full light and into darkness ? More, during my search I've seen pictures (sorry can't remember which recommended seller) with BOTH versions for sale ? Compare the pics I've taken from this board and the ones given by torobravo. The difference in color of the hands is clear. If I'll be forced to accept this difference , well Torobravo will have not a satisfied customer.

Nah, everyone is entitled to their opinion. Not always correct, but they are entitled to it. :)

You are perfectly entitled to disagree. You are your own expert. You can even refuse the watch from torobravo despite the advice given to you by a TD. Good luck with your search for perfection.

Far by me to offend the knowledgeable members of this board. Me too am one of the most knowledgeable members of another forum about japanese art blades so I understand the mysterio position. He's here just to help me. let see what torobravo reply to my last mail and if the case I'll ask him to sell me another model of PAM.

why not just take the hands from your "perfect lume" watch that is broken and use them on the "imperfect lume" new watch .

Just sayin' ...

Cause I'm not able to do that and in its hard to impossible to me find a watchmaker that put his hands on a replica. Otherwise I'd have mine repaired. BTW I've also a PAM GMT that stopped working and yet agin noone accepted to repair it. They say the movemnt's replacment are impossible to found :-(

Well, torobravo replied and says its' a matter of camera reflection. At this point I accept your kind advise considering your reputation and I'll accept the clock.
Thanks in advance for advise and patience and get in touch again around Xmas when iI'll replce the GMT.

Give the lume another 5mins in the dark and it'll balance itself out already if you're so worried about the brightness being imbalanced :huh1:

SOrry I'm in troubles with Torobravo that isn't able to cash my money. Nothing smooth in this transaction.

Would you please be so kind to give me a link to an italian member or section so I can try to have the other clock repaired ? You'd most kind as I'm struggle with cancellation and re-payment for unknown reasons.
