I hope I'm not violating the QC pics rule. I have two very specific questions about this watch.

SVjFJq3.jpg

First, the caseback is rotated at a different angle. The torch of Lady Liberty is usually closer to the crown from gen pics I've seen. Is this true of all gen's? If so, can I ask them to rotate for me?

Second, there's an inscription "M001/150" (near the elbow of Lady Liberty). Is that supposed to be there? Were there versions of the Pam 417 with this inscription that I'm not aware of?

Could you elaborate? Sorry, I'm new to Panny so I'd like to understand. Are you saying this particular one is bad or that the pam 417 in general is a bad buy?

According to Ale's guide, I thought this was supposed to be one of the super reps.

Well, you know, pretending each screw in caseback is rotated exactly like the gen pics you showed sounds a bit odd. :)
Seriously, gens casebacks come in all kind of rotation as well. Also the M001/150 engraving is the serial number of this watch meaning it's the first of 150 Watches produced for M series (year 2010).

Ok, I just wasn't sure what was acceptable for Panny casebacks. If your dial was rotated incorrectly, that would be bad. If your screws were rotated incorrectly, well, that depends on the watch. Wasn't sure which case this Panny was.

I think you're right though. I do see a few google images of supposed gen Pam 417 where the caseback is rotated at different angles. None like mine, but doesn't seem like there's just one angle.

As far as the inscription, I also saw some supposed gen's with that inscription. It wasn't in Ale's guide and a few other posts on this forum. But maybe the reps didn't have the inscription until the later models...?
I also wish it wasn't 1/150. That seems a little unbelievable but I guess I just won't show the caseback to anyone

A perfect reply by Kilo.
You must ask for by TD to rotate the case back in the right position.
180 degrees and will be perfect.
If the TD don't wanna make this easy work , well , refuse it ! [emoji23][emoji23]
I kidding , theren't probs with this Panny.
