Hello all,
My first post, I'm extremely grateful to all having recently entered the Rep world, learned a ton...and now purchased my first Rep--PAM 251K. Just received QC pics and all looked great, except...noticed the hour totalizer (at 6oclock) is off-center prior to chronograph being engaged (if a Gen, I would never purchase this watch). The attached photo of course is a close up so more noticeable...however even in the panned-out shot (I chose not to include, so that authorized dealer would not be identified in the case you tell me I'm crazy, ha) one can see this.

Grateful for your thoughts on whether to accept the watch--it's a rep, not a gen!--or this warrants asking dealer to fix or exchange??

thanks!

Hmm, I could live with that, I think. While it is off centre remember:

And hey, the next may be worse.

Hi JG and welcome

I think the watch does look very slightly out, but very minor - but with much in the rep world once you spot the slight imperfection you become very OCD about it.

I wear the same watch as my daily beater and I guess from 3 feet you couldn't spot the minor error, mine lines up a bit better but not perfect as the 12 and 6 seem to produce a slight optical illusion.

I guess you could ask your dealer and see what they say?

Thanks for these thoughts!

Is correction of the (alignment of the) hour totalizer something that can be simply fixed by a watchsmith?? Could this mis-alignment be indicative of any other faults with chrongraph functioning?

cheers/thanks again!

This is a very very simple fix, the hand was placed alittle off center when it was put on all you have to do is take it off and realign it. I've done it plenty of times, theres usually no problem with the actual movement

Since it is a rep this is a no serious flaw. In the real life you don't see it
You will be able to live with that.
And, as trailboss says the next could be worse !!!!

It is very easy to fix placing correctly the little hand. No worries about influence in other things.
Enjoy it !!

Thanks Ale, I agree - didn't know if this might affect watch movement/performance which you and MD2020 kindly confirmed! regards,
