QC: Is this rehaut correctly aligned?

Picking up a panda Daytona; just got QC pics. This is my first rep. The watch looks beautiful, but when I compare the alignment of the left edge of the "E" in the rehaut with the 9 minute marker here in this image, it seems the rehaut isn't correctly aligned? I was expecting the letters to line up (at least mostly) with the minute hands, at least that's what they look like on the gens I've seen.

So,
  1. Maybe I'm wrong and this is coincidental in other photos or it's changed over the years?
  2. Maybe I'm overly nitpicky? But it seems like an instant tell, at least with my superficial (and perhaps incorrect) knowledge?

I sure wouldn't reject it based on that one picture. Ask for another picture of the rehaut.

Nothing wrong with it and especially not a reason to reject. Besides technically only X needs to align with markers from 12-6 and R from 6-12.

Don’t understand the issue.

Edit: Understand what you mean and no: Non issue.

Your viewing angle affects the apparent relative positions of two objects, in this case a tic mark and a rehaut letter. Let's look at the 'E' at 53.

In this pic, the E looks right of the 53 tic

At this angle the E looks left of the 53 tic

Add a reference line and the E looks pretty centered from both angles

Viewing from further away decreases the parallax error

Understanding how viewing angle affects your perception of the spatial relationship between two objects helps us not to conclude that something is wrong when it may not be.

^^ What he said - it's all about angles.

And not a reason to reject.

You expect the forum to QC rehaut with that shitty picture ! That is only showing half the rehaut , is out of focus on an angle FFS :D:D

Just accept the watch it's only a toy , your mates won't believe it's real anyway :rollingonthefloor:

This member is already confused with mis-aligned rehaut (which probably is not because of photo angle) and now you told him a much bigger and obvious issue :(:( This chap will have a miserable day.

OP - I suggest you do some more reading on this forum. The Daytona (specially Panda) is one of the best OOTB and most discussed watches. Members have already scrutinized and provided feedback on every aspect of this watch. If rehaut is the only concern (wink wink) for you, just accept it and wear it in good health!!
