Hey this is my first Replica watch. I have been doing a lot of research and just got my QC pictures. What are your thoughts on the time wheel. I know that this is a soft spot. It looks a little off and wanted to get your guys 2 cents.

This is a very low grade Navitimer World rep. Hopefully you aren’t paying too much for it. If it were me I would pony up for the proper BP version where everything is right.

Could you please explain why is such a bad rep? I'm kinda new and still have to understand better what to take care before buying my Nav (from BP I guess)

I could give you an entire list of what’s wrong technically with the low-grade rep from the two QC pics you posted. But that will not have the impact on you in the way that holding it, and comparing a quality rep like the BP, will have. Once you experience this, the lightbulb goes off in your head, and you understand why the details are important. But you probably need the experience of buying a crap rep before you can appreciate how good the top tier reps really are, and why they are worth the money.

P1EMO Believe me, we have all been there. First you have to wear a crap rep and then try on the gen to see how amazingly great the gens are. You will feel the quality of design and construction. Then you get a top tier rep and realize how freaking close to gens these can be in virtually every detail, for a small fraction of the price, that you will wonder what you were ever thinking with the crap rep.

its one thing to SEE the difference, it’s another thing to FEEL it. Hope that makes sense.

BMW760 Those of us like BMW760 that have been playing the rep game since the beginning have evolved with the industry. We forget that in the old days all reps were crap reps, and as they got better we kept buying the latest and greatest. In 2000 there really wasn’t anything NWBIG. The crap rep you bought today was top tier then. Nobody was making anything like the GF, BP, Noob and ARF are putting out now. And the crap in 2000 was expensive (for the time). Nobody was taking the rep world seriously. But technology changed and gave the Chinese access to all sorts of manufacturing abilities to create true super-reps. It’s all a matter of perspective.

BMW760 I agree completely.
it helps enormously that my eyesight is not perfect, but if you pay 300.00 for 3500.00 watch and it can only really be called out by someone with more knowledge than the average guy, then I would say you should be happy.
choosing your rep wisely also helps.
some reps will draw more attention than others, and a 50000.00 pound watch on the guy in the local hardware store is going to throw some doubt on it.

Yet, the average rep buyer has become more obnoxious and demanding. Expecting 4k quality QC pics, no flaws at half the price.

Yes, there are some who have no appreciation for how far it has come in a relatively short amount of time. That being said, in a way they are right, though about expecting no flaws. If we can point them out, why don’t they fix them? Like, seriously, why don’t we have a perfect Sub rep yet? It’s such a simple watch! Yet we have five major factories all releasing their version of “good enough”.

Go figure.
