may i use car wax? or something else( that will not scratch the pvd finish)?

I don't know which strap you have, but the PAV99 which has a PVD buckle has exactly the same PVD coating as Davidsen's. The Dirk logo PVD's are very different. So I believe that as Enzo says it is a very similar PVD coating to the gen and if I were you I would just let it be or get a PAV99 or 90.

PAV99 is indeed a beautiful strap for a PVD. In terms of cost, the strap is about the same cost of a Davidsen's PVD watch.

Nontheless, once you go PAV...you'll never look back ;)

Phillipe: You might wanna consider getting a PVD buckle from Elliot (http://www.tcstraps.com). His DLC/PVD Buckle is one of the best I've seen thus far.

@ all: thank for the advice. you are right: that's my buckle (bought from the watchboys) that is too shiny.
