Can I ask why you would want to do this?

You need H3 canon pins as well btw.

But you can get replacement high beat pam movements from the dealers. Kuvarsit has nice ones.

the movement that came with the rep is REALLY loud. i was wondering if changing the movment would quiten it down.

Sorry bonesay but is the H3 canon pin just a specific type of canon pin? cant i just take it from the old movt? thanks.

You mean it ticks really loudly? Then yes, the 'ticking' won't be much different between variations of 6497 movements. And that cousins one is undoubtedly the same as what is currently in your watch at the moment.

It ticks loud due to the size of the whole escapement system. All large movements are loud.

My 005k ticked like a time bomb so I had Katt swap the movement for a ST-36 that I bought on eBay. Winds a lot better and no loud annoying tic. The original movement even bugged by girlfriend l

Hi Relaxman, when i wind my current movement it slips back a little at the end of every wind. Does your new ST 3600 do that?

The slipping is just the click settling back into the click wheel...nothin to worry about.
