Put in a new stem now movement stops - HELP please :)

Hi all, so I recently installed a new stem which I thought was the right length. Now the movement will start and stop in about the seconds. I tape on the watch and it starts again, only to stop again in a short time.

Does this mean maybe the new stem is too short?

Lol. I'm also curious to know the answer to this. I finished what is basically my first build last night and am having, what sounds like, a similar problem. I currently have the watch sitting on teh desk with the crown unscrewed to see if the stem being too short is causing it to stop.

One thing that helped is making sure the movement is in snug and case back is tight.
