Have u guys and girls see the new pam 217 by puretime angus ? the movement is upside down now ...so tell me how accurate is the whole watch and is this the ultimate rather then DSN version which is not upside down ?
I saw that watch, but I do not believe that the mechanism is upside down. The words "Officine Panerai" on the brdge are upside down, the rest of the movement looked just as any other Unitas 6497 w/swan neck regulator.
Is the movement text being correctly printed an equal trade-off for an Asian movement and a mineral crystal (with little or no AR) that will likely explode? I don't think so, but other people may have different opinions. I applaud Angus for at least making it an option.
I agree w/your comment. That kind of a trade off makes no sense. However, if you are not told of its origin, how would you know if the MVMNT is SWISS or its Asian copy, unless you know where to look. Places such as balance wheel, ETA stamps, and the overall finish of bridges? would you trust a dealer?
