I have seen on this site that pure-time is a legit site. Unfortunately, there seems to be dozens of sites with similar names.

Is pure-time.com the legit version (as recommended elsewhere on this forum)?

Can anyone who has used this particular site advise me on anything specific I should consider before making a purchase? Has anyone had a nasty experience with this website?

Thanks!

Yup that's correct

Before you actually even consider purchasing anything, make sure you've spent lots of time reading and researching. Once you think you've read enough, keep reading. You'll find that this hobby is very unique, and shopping for reps is not like shopping on ebay or Amazon.

Again, make sure you've spent a significant time reading up on the hobby, otherwise you'll find yourself quite disappointed

Good luck!

exactly what zero deficit said. right on the money. I spent two weeks reading here before I made my first purchase, and I'm glad I did. there is so much to learn. So many different models of the same watch. from very low quality to very high quality. Learn as much as you can, and also what the movements are. Some function like the gen does but some don't. so it's best to familiarize yourself with every facet of the watches. and there are reviews on just about every replica out there on the site here. Read the "stickies" in each section too. those are very important and provide a lot of information that will answer a lot of your questions, and learn about the buying process and how it works. Good luck and welcome.

The easiest thing to do is go to pure time's page in here, open up one of his "sticky" folders and click on his signature. It will take you to the correct website every time.

Easiest thing to do is put down the PC and stop looking at watches until after March 4th. ;)

Just ordered from pure time last month, they're definitley legit and reputable. Just use the website link from their subforum here on RWI their communication was great thru the whole process for me. As with any dealer though, shipping takes a LONG time, don't panic if a month passes and your watch hasn't shown up yet.

8 months have passed! Communication with Angus is awful. All communication comes down to the fact that he is trying to convince me that somewhere is my fault. And I can forget about money and watch.

I'm not saying that satisfied threads are falsified.
It is strange for me, that 5000 customers and no one with post problems... actually it was strange for me that in USA could be problems like that. This problems could be in Russia, but not in USA. Anyway this problems happened. And somehow i have to suffer.
Anyone from 5000 customer who will be on my place will tell the same thing! I pay for the watch, i pay for the delivery. And if smth wrong with the delivery the sender has to solve all the problems! Besides this I tried to solve it by myself: 4 times went to post offices, more than 10 telephone calls and 2 official enquiries. All i needed from "puretime" is information about the sender to fill USPS form to return the parcel back to the sender! BUT no information was provided. Answer from Rainy or Jennifer was: WAIT!

Well said, nothing to add. I have been doing this even without realising this fact, which costed me days not even hours.
