Purchasing multiples.....worth it?

I've, over the past couple of years, built up a larger collection of reps. Usually I'll go through rotations with many of them but there are a few that I tend to wear more frequently (ie. my noob 243 and my modded River Mille Metri). My 243 has taken a bit of a beating w/ minor scratches on the bezel/case from normal wear (I actually dont mind it.....gives it character). Is it worth buying the same watch to have put aside? My current watch's movement is working just fine and keeping great time. My question pertains to seeing that certain members here rack up a collection of the same specific watch. Is it worth it? I figure I can purchase other reps and expand my collection instead. But I do know I love my 243.

I'm pretty sure the noob 243 is no longer available but the I have no problems with the H-maker version too. But I'm debating between that and getting an 029 (seeing as I do not have one and have been wanting one for some time).

If it's a watch you love then buy another, that's the beauty of reps. They are cheap enough to allow you to buy multiples.

and the noob 243 is still available, I'm wearing one right now which I received only couple of weeks ago from Toro .
