So this is my first purchase with Andrew. I have purchased from other TD's but wanted to diversify experience and loved Andrew's website and reputation. One positive for Andrew is he is very responsive. Usually within hours of your question. But I have yet to find a dealer who isn't TBH. They all do a great job which is why they are TD's. I have seemed to have more miscommunications with Andrew, but he has always seemingly worked to fix them.
I was looking to purchase a PAM927 and a JLC Ultra Thin Moon. But I wanted the SS with brown straps for the JLC. I asked around as the brown strap usually only comes with the RG version. Eventually a couple of TD's said they could make it happen.
Timeline:
4/26: Andrew confirmed he could source the watches and get the brown straps.
4/27: I purchased both watches
4/28: I received QC pics for the JLC. It had the black strap so I asked again for the brown strap. Andrew said the factory only provided the black strap.
4/28: After much back and forth, I asked him to try for the brown straps from another factor who makes it for the RG version. He agreed that was a good idea and I paid for the straps from GF.
4/29: Received QC pics for the PAM927. It had a smudge on the back that wasn't the best but I decided i didn't care enough to complain (its the back of the watch) and didn't want to wait to see how long it would take to find another.
4/29: Andrew confuses which watch I wanted the brown strap for and thought it was for the PAM927, but we get that fixed and he orders the right strap for the JLC instead.
4/30: I confirm he will install the brown strap on the JLC before shipping to me and will send me the black strap as well. He confirms.
5/3: Sends me QC pics of the brown straps. I ask when he will install them, and he is confused that I want the brown straps installed before shipping. I screenshot previous convos so he can see we confirmed that would be the case.
5/4: I receive QC pics of the brown straps installed on the JLC. Looks gorgeous.
5/8: I receive shipping info and tracking.
6/7: Still waiting for the items to be shipped.
We have exchanged a few emails about shipping status over this past month. The first was after about 10 days. The second was about 10 days after that. The responses have been the usual generic copy and paste about shipping delays. I am sharing this experience for all of you who might be anxious or worried. You aren't alone. Hopefully as the rest of the world opens back up, we will get better time to delivery. I will update when this thing finally ships.
